The TTG Tune-Up is designed to refine the firearms competencies and fundamentals essential for success in The Tactical Games competitions and to enhance overall firearms proficiency. The course will cover firearms maintenance, firearms inspection, marksmanship fundamentals, grouping, zeroing, ballistics, holdovers and hold unders, positional shooting, barricade utilization, safety, scoring, and mental management.
Developed by champions, this course aims to help you reach your full potential in competition.
Tune Up Courses will be offered on the Friday preceding each regional event weekend. Participants will have the option to choose from either a morning beginners course, or an afternoon course for experienced shooters.
Course curriculum –
Morning Session (9am-12pm): Beginners: Get You Started…
This is the session for you if you are:
-First time competitor
-First shooting event
-Newer to firearms
-Unsure of zero
Session Content:
-Spot check zero on pistol and rifle
-Shooting technique adjustment
-Gaming information for the event
Afternoon Session (1-4pm): Experienced: Get You Going…
This session is for you if you are:
-Returning competitor
-Experienced with both rifle and pistol
-Confirmation zero (you understand the process)
Session Content:
-Spot check zero on pistol and rifle
-Fine-tune coaching
-Advanced positioning
-Barricade work / game planning
